Setup: wrist, band, volume and Health
Wear your watch on either wrist: Bataboom! sets your batting side from it. Tighten the band, interlace your fingers, turn the volume up, and allow Health if you want the game to keep running while the screen sleeps.
Install
If Bataboom! is not on your watch yet, open the Watch app on your iPhone, in My Watch scroll down to Available Apps and tap Install next to Bataboom!. The iPhone app's setup guide checks this for you.
Wrist and batting side
Watch on your left wrist: you bat righty. Watch on your right wrist: you bat lefty. Change it any time in Settings under Batting.
Band and grip
Tighten your band. Interlace your fingers, hands together, like gripping a bat, and swing with both arms.
Volume
The crack of the bat is the whole game. Turn the Digital Crown to adjust the volume, or use Volume in Settings. You can also switch the Announcer and Haptics on or off there.
Health permission
Before your first swing, the watch asks to save Baseball workouts in the Health app. This keeps the game running when your screen sleeps. Bataboom! only writes workouts and reads no health data. Turn it off with Keep playing when the screen sleeps in Settings.
Keep screen on
While you play, the screen stays lit when you turn your wrist and rotates to face you. It uses a little more battery; switch it off in Settings. If the screen does go dark, keep swinging: the sound goes on.
Clear the zone
Keep people and breakables out of reach. Then take a swing: the watch answers your first one with a home run.
Swing your wrist. Hear the crack.
