Back hand moving in
Your back hand moves in toward your body as you stroke through. The cue turns on your bridge, so the tip goes the other way and the cue ball leaves the line.
Common causes
- The elbow swings in toward your body
- The grip is too tight
- Your stance is too square to the shot
How to fix it
- Move the back hand straight back and through, without the elbow drifting sideways
- Hold the cue loosely, with the thumb and two fingers
- Turn your body a little so the cue passes by your hip
Recommended drill
