Twisting the wrist
Your wrist turns during the stroke, which steers the cue tip off line.
Common causes
- Gripping with the whole hand
- Trying to add spin with the wrist
How to fix it
- Relax the last two fingers of your grip
- Keep the back of your hand facing out the whole stroke
- Add spin by where you hit the cue ball, not by turning
